Women Cell
Aims: The primary aim of the Women Cell is to promote gender equality and prevent any form of harassment or discrimination against women. It serves as a platform to address grievances, raise awareness about women’s rights, and foster a culture of respect and inclusivity. To create a secure and supportive environment for women on campus. To address and redress issues related to gender-based discrimination and harassment.
Objectives : The objectives of the Women Cell include providing a safe space for women to voice their concerns. Conducting awareness programs on gender sensitivity. Providing a platform for reporting and addressing incidents of harassment. Offering counseling and support services to those affected.
Mechanism: Establishing a confidential reporting system for complainants. Conducting regular workshops and seminars on gender issues. Collaborating with local authorities and NGOs to enhance support mechanisms. This often includes a complaint registration system, an inquiry committee, and guidelines for handling complaints while maintaining the privacy and dignity of the individuals involved.
