Established in 1970, Adarsh Mahila Mahavidayalya, Bhiwani was declared ‘Best college’ by the Government of Haryana due to its qualitative contribution towards women education. The college is a private aided college affiliated to Chaudhary Bansi Lal University, Bhiwani. It abides by the rules and regulations of CBLU/State govt./ UGC. It is governed and managed by Adarsh Shiksha Samiti. In the year 1970,when promoting girls education was not an easy task especially in a city like Bhiwani which is surrounded by majority of rural area. At that time establishment of Adarsh Mahila Mahavidayalya, Bhiwani was just like a dream come true. The college has a distinctive proud history of being established by social reformers especially Hon. Sh. B.D. Gupta ji (Ex C.M. of Haryana), Bhiwani Kesari Sh. Bhagirathmal ji Buwaniwala and their team who collectively had a common strong opinion that educating a girl child means educating the Society and of course the Nation as a whole. The vision and mission of the college is to enlighten the path of education for girls to make them self confident for which the college has a very dedicated team comprising of college Governing Body, Principal and the entire staff. It is a matter of pride that college’s Governing body is led by the President Smt. Darshna Gupta ji recipient of ‘President of India Naari Shakti Samman Puraskar’. Under her able guidance, the whole team works very hard to leave no stone unturned for development of girls in every field be it academics, sports or other co-curricular activities. The college which was started with 75 girls of two classes in two rooms in 1970 has now completed 52 years of its challenges and hardships. Now the college is running 11 under graduate programmes in Arts, Science, Commerce and Computer application and 5 post graduate programmes in Mathematics, Economics, English, Physics and Chemistry and has enrolled nearly 3000 girls students during the current year.
The college has well maintained pollution free green campus with environment friendly class rooms, Auditorium, Principal’s office, Administrative block, Management block, laboratories, library, Hostels, Canteen ,Sport ground, well equipped Gym, lawns etc. to provide a positive environment to students for their overall development. Due to all qualitative factors the college has been awarded ISO certification for 9001-2015 and 21001-2018 in the year 2022.
