Adarsh Mahila Mahavidyalaya organized an activism campaign to eliminate gender-based violence under the joint aegis of the Women’s Cell – Navjyoti and the Gender and Biasing Cell. The college’s students from all streams participated in the event by organizing an active poster rally. The theme of the rally was to protest against violence against women, prohibit child marriage, and take concrete steps to eradicate dowry, among others.Principal Dr. Alka Mittal said that to maintain the dignity of women, it is essential to strengthen their mental, physical, and economic self-reliance. Because the foundation of a healthy society is secure in a healthy woman.On this occasion, Dr. Mamta Chaudhary, Convener of the Women’s Cell, and Dr. Richa Sharma, Convener of the Gender and Biasing Cell, led the students and administered an oath to them to strongly oppose these social evils and secure their role in building a healthy society.Dr. Deepu Saini, Dr. Mamta Vadhva, Ms. Babita Chaudhary, Dr. Reenu, Ms. Kavita, and other faculty members were present on the occasion.
